Story
Indrajit (Meghnad) used maya and divine weapons to bind and wound the brothers. Through counsel, yajna and renewed courage, the sena steadied itself. The Ramayana warns that adharma often fights with deception; clarity and tapas are antidotes.
Why it matters
Indrajit fights with illusion rather than open combat, and the epic treats this as morally distinct from ordinary warfare. His attack is often read as a warning that deception can wound even the righteous — but doesn't have the final word.
