Story
Ram Rajya began—an administration of nyaya (justice) and daya (compassion). No one suffered hunger or fear; rains came on time; citizens prospered. Ram ruled as trustee, Sita as grace, Lakshman as duty, Hanuman as seva. This is the ideal that Hindus still invoke.
Why it matters
"Ram Rajya" has become shorthand in Indian culture for ideal governance — leadership measured by whether the most vulnerable are cared for, not by the ruler's own comfort. It's the note the Ramayana chooses to end on: not conquest, but justice.
